Current measurement practice
Public pages are measured when they load.
The Hall loads Google Analytics 4 immediately on public collection and institutional pages when administrators have enabled it. Contributor, Research Desk, sign-in, and account pages do not load that measurement. Google Analytics may process device, browser, network, and referral information under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.
First-party records are aggregate counts.
The Hall separately counts record consultations, sharing initiations, arrivals through attributed links, and social-image downloads. These counts are stored in UTC daily buckets by record, event, and sharing method. The archive does not store raw IP addresses, user agents, or an individual visit history for this measurement.
An IP address may be held briefly in server memory to limit excessive event ingestion. It is not written into an analytics record. A record consultation is counted once per browser-tab session after the page becomes visible; browser storage is used only to prevent duplicate counts during that tab session.
Sharing is recorded as initiation, not publication.
Selecting X, Farcaster, or Telegram records that the sharing interface was opened. Native device sharing is recorded only after the device reports success, copy-link after clipboard success, and image download after the image is retrieved. None of these events confirms that a post was ultimately published or seen by another person.
Administrators control collection.
Administrators may pause Google Analytics or first-party collection without deleting historical aggregate counts. Aggregate record metrics are removed if their associated Inductee or Invocation is permanently purged. Measurement settings may change as the Hall’s preservation and reporting practices develop.
